Sidney Edwards (AMINA) is a North Carolina native and is excited to be making her Dobama debut!
She received a BFA from William Peace University in Raleigh NC and an MFA in performance and acting from the University of Louisville in Louisville KY. She also has a graduate certificate in African American Theatre. Sidney’s Cleveland credits include Amneris in Aida at Karamu House, Fire on the Water at Cleveland Public Theatre and Cleveland Playhouse’s Classroom Matinee Tour. Some of her favorite roles have been Squeak in The Color Purple and Sally Bowles in Cabaret. Sidney would like to thank her family and friends for their continued support and her Cleveland theatre community for such a warm welcome.
